Get the Office Ready for Fall with These Tips

Posted In // Design Tips

Fall is always a good time for refreshing home décor and sprucing up your home, so why not take that same idea to the office? Just a few changes can lift the mood and re-energize employees as the season changes. Read on for design tips on how to easily incorporate seasonal décor into your office space.

First Impressions

Start presenting your Fall seasonal décor as you approach your office from the outside. Considering increasing curb appeal with fresh fall flowers in an Autumn colored planter. One on each side of the door will add a feeling of warmth to your entrance as the days start to cool down.

Wreaths are traditional for the Winter holidays but Autumn is a great time for wreaths made of Fall flowers, acorns, pinecones, and other natural Fall elements. For a more contemporary office look, try a non-traditional wreath such as one that is shaped like a square.

Bring Nature Inside

It’s not necessary to spend a lot of money at the local box store to add a touch of Autumn to your office décor. Bring Nature Inside for a low or no cost Autumn décor option.

  • Place small gourds of multiple colors in baskets and use as decoration on desks or conference tables.
  • Cut the tops off of fall colored flowers and place in a decorative bowl of water for a floating display.
  • Pumpkins can be painted white (or black and white) and displayed in an office that wants to match a more modern office look.
  • Instead of fresh flowers, use a vase for fresh fall colored leaves that are still attached to a twig or branch.

Fabrics Add Color

Add a touch of Fall color with fabrics in various shades of orange, yellow, red, brown and even blue. This can be easily accomplished with:

  • Throw Pillows
  • Chair Cushions
  • Table Runners
  • Throw Rugs

Refreshing your office for Fall with seasonal décor in new colors and textures can re-energize employees and bring a feeling of warmth to the office for all who visit.
